Hello all, much needed advice needed! Don't know if this is the correct place to post what I have to.
So I recently sent my omega constellation for a service, after 6 weeks my beloved watch came back, unfortunately with a brushed bezel, it was all polished before hand.

Question now is, I have the option to return back to omega to get the bezel polished again, or not. What do you guys think?
The first photograph is the original and the second is the 'improved' version.

I'd like to add that I've been given two options by omega, either I get it back to deeper gold original version, or I can get it polished entirely in rose gold. What are your preferences?

So the service center has refinished the watch correctly, and you want them to refinish it incorrectly?

Do you know the reference number of the watch?

No the original watch was polished all over but now discontinued, it came back brushed as this now is the newer version of the watch.

I've had the watch for 6yrs with the bezel completely polished, it's now turned up with a newer brushed version, which is the new and updated version of this model.

My question is, does the newer version look better than the old polished version?

Do you prefer the polished or brushed look and does originality matter to you?

That reference has a brushed or matte bezel in every photo I can find of it.

Yes that reference does has a brushed/mate bezel as it's the updated version of this model.

As I've always had a fondness for polished watches, but my question is what do you think looks better?

If you prefer polished, there's your answer. What does it matter what other people think?

I guess I just wanted people views on the overall aesthetic look.

Confusing...is the reference above for the watch you own? if so, the bezel is supposed to be brushed.

If not, what is the reference (or serial number) for the watch you own.

That serial number is for the brushed version.

The watch I bought 6yrs ago, the polished version I do not have the serial code for.

This has a brushed bezel. Did you buy the watch new or second hand? If it was second hand I suspect someone has incorrectly refinished the bezel from new.

The watch was purchased at the omega boutique in London brand new.

All that is done, is that the service centre has updated it to the newer version (brushed bezel) the polished bezel is now discontinued.

    Does that make sense?

So all they've done is given me a newer version of the watch I had bought originally.

The question is, in your opinion, does it look better updated or was the polished look aesthetically better as omega has given me the option to send it back so I can get it polished.

Not really - are there any numbers on the back of the watch? If so, please post them thanks.

Once again the "original" number you gave uses a brushed bezel, so either that is not the real original number for your watch, or the bezel was not right to begin with.

The model number of the watch does not change when changes are made to the watches appearance. The appearance when the watch came out of the factory is how it should appear now.
