Omega Constellation - Authentic of Fake?

Howdy kind strangers! Found this interesting piece for sale locally and was wondering if it's authentic. I've already asked the seller for additional details/pictures, but this is what I have to work with for the time being.

I don't like the position of the date window (too far to the left) and how long the 3 o'clock hour marker are. The observatory on the case back also is bigger than usual, but the case back design does vary a bit which makes me uncertain. I believe that the strap for this generation of Constellation is 18mm, and it has a 20mm strap on it currently.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I got a feeling this is one of those common fakes. The date should be centered on the pie-pan crease for all of the ones I'm aware of. Someone else might come along and say different , but as you identified, there are red flags here.

Welcome @nebniab

Your suspicions are correct and you did right to ask here for confirmation.

A first poster who laid out their concerns instead of demanding "is this fake?".

Got a free ♥️ from me.

I rather like the look of the ‘big medallion’ (it’s the equivalent of the ‘big hippocampus’ on some Seamasters).
I’m surprised that Omega didn’t deploy this size of medallion at some point - but since they didn’t, the question is, why would the fakers redesign and produce a caseback that is entirely wrong?

It's ballsy to fake a watch that is pretending to be solid gold.
