    Hey all,
I met with a local watchmaker/collector who offered me a constellation:
    ref. 2652
    Cal. 352
    Serial 11.1xx.xxx
    18k gold
    Honeycomb daily
    Almost mint condition (dail/inside)
    Original strap

    Sadly can't provide picture

What is a fair price to pay for this ?

    Thanks

Highly doubt it has an 11 mil serial. That would put it at around 1947, too early for that watch.

Is it stainless steel, gold, or gold capped?

    What ever he'll take.
They're not growing on trees anymore.

I wish I was around when they were growing on trees. Bummer. Good crop.

Probably the case number. Omega had those on 18K gold Constellations. Dates from early 1950's.

    Or a heavily polished case
Which is possible with a gold watch

    Condition = value

It really is completely impossible to guide you without pictures as a reference. I know that the collector states that everything is "mint" - but how many times have we seen that claim coming from someone who didn't know their arse from their elbow? Have a look at the Austrian seller "vintage portfolio"s website to see how many times that claim is wrongfully used.

Agreed, I'd say a base price for a shabby 2652 352 here in Europe would be around E1250 and for a real nice one collector to collector around E3000. Potentially less if found in the wild and more if from a dealer.

But pictures do speak a thousand words for a better estimate!

Gratuitous 2652 foursome photos, two 14kt and two 18 kt :)
