You can search an example and ask us if it is original. But we cant offer you watches via this thread. You can look on Chrono 24 or eBay.

Welcome @melimeli
A nice thought to buy a watch for your boyfriend.
A bit of friendly advice if I may.

A bit of an introduction would help and why this particular watch.

You’ve chosen an unusual watch, so I hope you’ve got some time before the day of the birthday.

Also, these coloured watch dial finishes often crack - euphemistically called spider web by unscrupulous dealers to make them sound special - but it is in fact just a defect.

Hey @melimeli that one unfortunately looks pretty tired, and poorly polished. The watch should have a defined bevel running along its sides (see attached picture), which from what I can see isn’t present on the watch you posted. Also there’s quite a bit of spiderwebbing on the dial, which isn’t abnormal for these watches, but also not hugely desirable… even though some people will try to convince you otherwise.

Good luck with the hunt!

I think that I do not trust this sales platform. I’m looking at other listings and I see some items priced way too low.

This tells me that either the people posting here have no concept of value or that it could be a scam using pictures “borrowed” from the internet.

Regarding the green dial watch you posted above, if you expand the pictures you will see that the lacquer on the dial has cracked into a spider web pattern. Unfortunately, this was common on these 1970’s enamel colored dials.

Please be careful.

I would say eBay and you can post pictures and links here to get the help of the collective.

As @gatorcpa suggests, look at eBay too, but then check here before you buy/bid.

It’s also worth looking at the heritage range of Longines - most will be comparatively recent on both eBay and C24 including pre-owned models.

But, still check here.
