    Hi

Can any of you knowledgable people offer me your opinion on the state of this Constellation which I’d like to buy - case and dial all appear fine but how does the movement look to you? I’d be really grateful for your advice - I’m not experienced enough to know exactly what to look for here. Thanks, very much appreciated.

The rotor has been replaced at some point, but beside from that it is difficult to say much...

Replaced rotor, marks on the rotor indicating it has been rubbing on the case back, yet no marks on the case back, so that's odd.

Worn rotor taken from another watch and put into this one? If so was the pinion replaced?

Or is this some kind of franken that doesn't have the original case back?

    Lots of questions...

Thank you, much appreciated - sounds like I should steer clear of this one.

If I showed you the engine bay of a car, would you advise me to buy it from that photo? ;)

But probably not - C-cases (esp. cal. 751s) ought to be cheaper, movement issues or not.

I'd be curious as to why the rotor was replaced. Too many questions about this one and it is, I think, on the high side for a 168.019 with a 751 movement. Just my opinion though, it really is a lovely watch otherwise.
