I acquired this Connie not too long ago with the intention of fixing it up, wearing it for a little bit before moving on from it as my endgame constellation is a rose gold deluxe. It was described as a non-runner; however I don’t think the gentleman selling the watch knew much about mechanical watches. As you will read below it’s actually keeping FANTASTIC time.

The time to move on from it came much quicker than anticipated as I have stumbled on an original owner, full set, 14393 (I plan on posting the pics of that later on today.) As such, it is time to move on from this one.

Omega 168.016

Case: The 35mm steel case appears to be unpolished. The reason I believe that to be true is, as you can note in the pictures, the original vertical and horizontal brushed finishing can be appreciated on the mid case and contrasting against the mirror polish of the bevels on all four lugs. However, there are collectors much more knowledgeable than me on here. If that’s not true feel free to correct me and I will amend. The medallion on the case back is crisp and the case sports light wear throughout commensurate with age.

Dial: The white, sunburst dial is pristine, free from any staining or imperfections. The only defect that can be noted is at the 7 o’clock hour marker, which appears to have lost some of its black painted inlay. Also, of note, one of the lume plots pips is no longer attached and is floating around inside the watch. Presumably it can be attached and restabilized by a competent watchmaker at the next service. The crystal does have some scratches that I, and my watchmaker, have polished out to the best of our ability.

Movement: Caliber 751. The watch was timed over a 24hr period and compared with atomic EST. The 24hr hour period included wear and non-wear. In that time period the watch gained 4 seconds; however, the service history is unknown and, as always, it is recommended to get the movement serviced prior to daily wear.

BRACELET: Comes on a genuine leather strap. (Not the one pictured as I have fallen in love with it!)

PRICE: $999 shipped, insured with tracking in the USA. International at additional cost.

Pictures are taken with no filters in outdoor lighting. In the right lighting this thing really pops!
