So, doing something a bit different today.
This watch belongs to a good friend of mine from out of town. It is, however, in my possession at the moment and will stay with me if not sold here (one or two weeks tops). The only reason I'm considering this sale is because I'm in pursuit of a "big fish" and I may need to free up the funds which I would otherwise spend on this one (haven't paid yet).
I have no financial gain from this transaction, whatsoever :)

All the information and pictures belong to my friend. I would appreciate any comments from more seasoned members.

Omega Constellation "Pie-Pan" ref. 168.010 "hidden crown (?)"

    Case
: approx. 35mm across, excluding crown. Shows signs of use, dings and scratches. 19mm lug space.
Back: has scratches and dings. The observatory and stars are pretty crisp in my opinion. Does not have the rubber seal!
    Crown:
I believe this is the proper crown for this model. Has a scratch near the Omega logo (see pictures).
Hands: lume is partially deteriorated (a chip missing) on the minute hand.
Dial: I believe original script, ok-ish shape. What can be seen in the pictures are dust particles from previous removal. I will sort this out later this week.
Movement: Automatic cal. 564. Looks OK-ish from the pictures (I haven't opened it myself, just my friend did). Keeps time to a reasonable degree but haven't checked accuracy (nor do I intend to, it's a vintage watch so assume servicing is necessary). Not serviced while in my possession.
Watch will be shipped with a 19mm strap, haven't yet decided which. May be either a Cousins leather or a Hirsch lizard print, both 19mm.

Price: EUR 850 net to me. PP available for established members with very good and significant feedback.
Will ship by TNT (EUR 70 worldwide, fully tracked and pretty fast) or DPD (EUR 30, Europe only, fully tracked). EU transaction is preferred.

Items are located in Romania, within the EU. All duties or any other additional taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will provide step-by-step pictures/scans of the packaging and shipping process but once the package leaves my hands I have no power over it.
I am a seller on Ebay under the same username for over 14 years and have 100% positive feedback with over 581 transactions (over 1000 individual transactions!) and many watches shipped to multiple locations (USA, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands etc.). For any other trust-related issues I can provide further credentials or proof of identity.

I also have several references on WUS, both as a seller and as a buyer. I can provide reference for other transactions as well (Omega 2254.50, Heuer Montreal sold to a very reputable dealer etc.).
Three successful transactions on OF, one as a buyer and two as a seller (my Longines Chronograph went to Austria, my Blancpain went to France).

I hope it's not rude but I think it is crucial to point out that the hands are not original / way too long - especially as we always tell newbies to buy here, in the private sales section.

    GLWYS though!

    Hey there,

It's not rude at all, especially since I invited critique in my initial listing. I've owned few vintage Omegas and am still learning.
"All the information and pictures belong to my friend. I would appreciate any comments from more seasoned members."

I have found a few other watches with the same case reference (168.010) and same pair of hands as this:

One other question arises now: the hands are paired to the 168.010 in all examples, but the pie-pan dial is more commonly found on ref. 168.004 from what I can gather.

    Hello gwzymytk,

    Thanks for your reply!
None of your listed links shows a pie-pan though. Your listed dial should have dauphine hands with minute- & hour hands which end right at the minute track.

Some examples of how the hands should look like:

Hey there, thanks again for the input.

Please read my post carefully- I have stated that I found the hands paired with the case reference, not the dial, in all my examples above.
Therefore, my last question in my previous post was regarding said dial - correlated to ref 168.004 and not 168.010.

As far as I can gather, ref. 168.004 and 168.010 share the same case design and measurements*, so is it perhaps more likely that the dial has been replaced during previous service (i.e. taken from a .004 and placed on a .010)?

    * - except lug size - it's 19mm for .010 as opposed to 18 mm for .004. Found this info too, might as well paste it here for further reference:
