I found this Constellation in a bag of watches from an estate sale this morning. It's a little scratched up and dirty but I think it'll clean up well. What looks like debris on the dial is just dirt and scratches on the crystal (bonus - Omega logo crystal).

Does everything look original as it should be?

The reference is 167.005 Cal 551 serial 25,604,420

You're one fargin' lucky bastage! It looks kosher to me, right down to the crown.

You do realize that even as it is it would bring at least $750 minimum, right?

Thanks Dennis - I knew I had to pay and leave before somebody starting asking why I bought the whole bag full.

Kyle - How many do you want?..

I've done well buying watches before at estate sales so I'm always looking when I have time to go. This Rolex purchase at an estate sale years ago was my biggest profit and mistake for selling it too soon. I made a bundle on it and it did ignite me getting into watches.

I'll take 10 if there's anything like that Constellation or 5512 in them. ;) Nice gilt!

Beautiful Connie, but the Submariner is Gorgeous! Awesome! I would sell most of my collection to own it!

It's cutthroat at some of these sales with people lining up for hours. People have watched too many shows and are walking around with their iPads and iPhones looking up values on everything.

When enough of them get burned things will calm down again.

I was going to come in with the ubiquitous "over polished" comment (as a joke), but daaaaang! Look at those lug facets! Oww! Just cut myself lookin' at 'em!

Around here, people have figured out how they CAN take it with them when they die, apparently.

First law of watch collecting: he who dies with the most __________ (fill in Constellations, El Primeros, Pre-moon Speedmasters, or any other fan favorite) wins.

….. or maybe I should say their heirs win.
