Hi all,

This watch has popped up locally and I am considering visiting the seller and open the watch.
He does not know anything about it, so the only way to check is to open the caseback. Before I do so, is there anything that seems off to you? To me this looks like a 14393 SC. Do you agree?

Yeah - the crystal seems to have had a fight with a grinder or meat axe, but I love restoring watches 馃榾

14393*

Looks fine, besides the incorrect crown.
Thanks, @seekingseaquest
Corrected the reference number.
Do you have any thoughts on what to bid? Is $1100 too much?
It would probably need a new crystal, the right crown (decagonal?), full service and a strap.

Personally I would want more photos it the dial before placing a bid on it. It could be really ugly, or not so bad.

The seller lives the same city as me, so I will rather visit him and see it with my own eyes. Some people are really not able to handle a camera 馃榿
