·Dear all.
I am hereby selling a steel, pie-pan Omega Constellation ref. 14393-9 from 1962.
The watch was bought as a project years ago when I was still trying to hoard as many Constellations as possible, but I have never gotten around to doing anything about it. It has great potential as the case is in good shape and the complete package is very nearly a full set.
It only misses the outer cardboard box otherwise all paperwork is there, including the watch tray, the plastic warranty sleeve, the correct "Constellation-Calendar" pad and even the Swedish issued insurance papers. The box is fairly worn, but has protected the fragile paper contents well.
The 34mm case has seen light wear, but all edges are sharp. I would be surprised if it had been polished at any point. There are some light scratches on the rear of the watch and some wear from a nylon strap (a curse on them!), but the medallion looks great and if you should like a very light polish will remove all wear. The lug width is 18mm.
The crown is the original decagonal type. The crystal is a generic replacement.
The pie-pan dial has aged unevenly and whether or not it should be replaced/cleaned or left alone is a subjective matter.
The cal. 561 movement is unserviced in my ownership and does not run. There are issues with the winding of the watch (crown doesn't budge), so it could be something simple like a broken mainspring or something more complicated.
I am asking €900 for this Omega Constellation with fantastic potential, tracked shipping included to anywhere in the world, payment via bank transfer/transferwise. I will be happy to take returns within a week after you receiving the watch. The watch and I are in Denmark, EU.
