    Hi,

New to this forum, but I have been actively collecting vintage Omegas for the past 8 years. I am posting this on behalf of my coworker (Stephen), who owns a Connie Megasonic 720 hz. The movement is shot and I can't find anyone in Houston, Texas, USA who can fix it. Stephen received this watch from his parents on his 21st birthday. It has great sentimental value to him. Does anyone have any feedback on the following options:

    1. Is there a service center (besides Omega) who can fix the tuning fork movement? Are these movements robust enough to justify the repair expense?
    2. Is it possible to swap out the tuning fork movement with another Omega mechanical movement?
    3. Is it possible to transplant the dial and/or back on another vintage Omega case?
    4. Any other suggestions?

    Dave

If the Micromotor is shot you'll need to find a donor watch, they're out there so the good news is that it will run again ;-)

Thanks for the great feedback! Good to know this doesn't have to become a Frankenwatch. : ) Just uploaded my avatar (one of my favorite bumpers).

@BlueBoy - Is that a custom band? The full width of the case makes it look really nice!
