I am a huge fan of the Art Deco/Bauhaus inspired Omega Pocketwatches I could not resist this Omega CK 1055 (I think it is) cal. 37.5 L 15P from 1938 with its bow with the shape of the Omega logo. I could not find many of these CK 1055, dont know if they are not so common? Any input from old adverts/catalogs are welcome
Wow! Incredible watch! That does not answer your question but I had to say it! The dial is awesome and the 37,5 movement is very nice. Great find!
Here are some examples I have of that case type - though the bows are rounder. Many different hand and dial variations exist. .
They made some beautiful pockets! For catalogue entries, maybe Yann will be along… All I can offer is this 1065 from F389 1939: My 37.5 OT1055 follows (or maybe OT1065?), 18 kt: Another extract from catalogue F389 shows similar (gold) versions 1060 and 1048. Omega made a series of different casebacks in the 1930s – and the mention of ‘décor Robert’ refers to this: My OT1060 with 37.5 (14 kt): Another 37.5 – but with different bow (14 kt): … and sneaking in a black/grey-dialled 38.5 (18 kt):
The audacity of stillness in design, of form that shuts up and simply exists as the quietly ticking antidote to life happening all around it. Every part of it is absolutely stunning.
What an exceptional series! Are both cases identical ? The gold plated ones seems to have a different bezel and could be a 1065 (where it sems that the 1055 has a flat bezel) :
Hi Tom, gorgeous ones! The first is a OT 1055, here in the 1940 French catalog : Second one is a OK 1060 (14k) : Third one is an OJ 1054 with original crown : I don't know the ref of the last one, but here it is in a 1941 Italian catalog :

Reviving this thread with a recent purchase. Not sure what reference this one would be given the Wadsworth case but it has a cal. 37.5. Solid 14k gold case.
