Hey Omega Forums, I was referred to you guys by way of Reddit. I just picked up what appears to be a Omega Chronostop Seamaster ref 145.008. I was looking to source a period correct bracelet, as I just bought the watch itself on eBay. Could anyone steer me in the right direction of what is the correct bracelet? I've come to understand that these were 'Speedmasters on a budget.' What little info I've found on the Internet make me believe that Omega used Speedmaster bracelets when assembling them. Could the kind people here confirm or deny and possibly point me in the right direction? Thanks!
No, that case does not use a Speedmaster bracelet. I had one on bracelet with out "fitted" endpieces, although I know they exist. Very hard to find and right off the top of my head I can't remember the reference numbers. I also wore it on a leather band
I have one of these on a leather strap. I believe they came on a 1170. When I bought mine I found some pictures with them on an 1162 bracelet. You can buy service replacement 1162 bracelets. If you can not find an 1162 or 1170 I do not use the 1162 bracelet so you can purchase mine if you need/desire one. As said thoug, I think the 1170 is the most correct bracelet.
