Recently acquired this Chronostop. First thing that it gotten to me is the second hands is not original and the blemish on dial between 5 and 6 hour. Would it be good investment to get original vintage second hand? Should I just let that damage on dial to be that way? Does the movement look ok? I appreciate the knowledge of the vintage experts here. Thanks!

Lume on the minute and hour hands look a little extra green too. I'm confused about the damage to the dial, is it a big gauge? It looks like something's going on around the 1 oclock marker too but it could just be the photo. Those drivers are really cool watches, finding parts might take a while but you could always find a watchmaker with an omega parts account which might make things a little easier to acquire.

How recently did you purchase this watch? Can you return it? All the hands are wrong, especially the sweep/second hand. The hour and minute hands should have black near the center. No lume dots at the indices. bad blemish on the dial (don't mess with it). New caseback seal needed. Unknown movement needs.
Depending on what you paid, it could be worth making it right with new hands (if you can find them) and a service.

Thank you guys! I got this in a trade so it was not really expensive. The watch keeps an excellent time and it I will try to acquire period correct chronostop hands. That damage is probably due to possible water but not sure. I would keep the watch for myself so it does not require big investment to make it look presentable.

a steady hand and some matte` black paint and a very fine artist brush will take care of the hands, if you want to keep it for yourself.
