    Hi OF

Up for grabs an attractive unpolished Omega Chronostop Driver 145.010. The Serial Number is 28mil, so that puts it round '69/'70 (please correct me if I am wrong). The watch functions flawlessly.

This one I bought a while back, and forgot about, as I have had (and still do have) a couple more projects in the pipeline, and I had stashed it obscurely. It could use a crystal polish and a movement service ... which imho will make this a stunning piece. Service history is unknown. I offer it in as-found condition.

I apologize in advance for some of the blurry pics (and the cat hairs) ... not sure what happened ... I promise there is nothing deceptive about these pictures.

What first attracted me to this watch, apart from the racing track, 3D dial and orange chrono hand and omega symbol, was the uniform creamy tritium on the dial and hands...and of course the sharp case. The dial is flawless (all marks are on the crystal).

The hands too are a match. Glow (and discharge) is even and as expected under UV for tritium.

I believe the crystal to be original, and has the correct omega shape for that era (MWO A2 short feet).

(I should really get a better macro system ... )

    IMG_0823.jpg

All factory finishes are present and edges are sharp. I love the brushing on these. IMHO the golden era of Omega :)

    IMG_0802.jpg

Naturally there are some scratches commensurate with age (50 years).

    IMG_0804.jpg

I believe crown and pusher also to be original.

    IMG_0806.jpg

    Sorry for the blurry pics.

Caseback too is unpolished. It has the inscription 'waterproof tested 30m'. And one light case-opening tool scratch hardly visible in this pic (above 'waterproof').

    IMG_0803.jpg

One more because its a lovely piece.

    IMG_0810.jpg

I had my watchmaker open it this morning (and here I again apologize for the blurry movement shot). The movement (cal 865) is immaculate. Screwheads unchewed. The movement is dry...

For guys who may be interested in a NOS vintage chronostop strap ... I may have a lead on one, to complement the watch.

I am a private collector. This watch comes from my humble collection, which like most of you, is a result of a hobby that takes up far more time (and hard earned money!) than I would like to admit. I am selling to refocus. Nothing new about that.

Terms and conditions. 1150 CHF | 1150 USD | 1015 EURO | 875 GBP wired directly to my Transferwise account.

The watch and I are in Switzerland, and so I will also accept a wire directly to my Swiss bank account, however that will be in CHF, and will thus cost you conversion and transfer fees. Paypal F&F should also be ok, in CHF as specified. I use Transferwise as it saves you on these fees, and is a local transaction for us both. More currencies are available upon request. Returns are accepted only if grossly misrepresented. You will get what you see in these pictures which are of a decent quality and high resolution (the blur hides good things, not bad :D), so I don't believe there is any chance of misrepresentation.

I will include shipping (plus insurance) to wherever you are in the world.

I have 100% positive reviews (upon request) on other platforms too.

All criticisms about the watch are welcome.

Thanks ΩF for this space

    It's gorgeous.
The driver configuration is so weird I got a bit addled looking at the pics.

That ad is interesting. I thought it was for reading off the back of the wrist, but with hand on 10 or 11 o'clock of the steering wheel.
Can't imagine a driver using it under the wrist.

I guess some folk drive in that position (palm facing face) and other in the other (palm facing engine), it would work like that in both cases, with the watch under or over wrist imho.
