·Dear Omega friends,
I am going to do some advertising for my book on Omega 30 mm Chronometers.
There are still some copies left for your consideration.
Contents:
A single page is not enough to give a detailed list of the contents - therefore I provide you with some more information.
The book presents:
31 different "civil" chronometer references and all the different dial variants that have been found (around 150!)
7 military chronometer ref.
6 cross-references
5 prototypes
observatory chronometers
several movement prototypes from the Omega Museum shown to the public for the first time
accessories: straps, buckles, boxes, warranty documents, certificates, advertisment, hang tags,...
The book will deal with every aspect of the topic and will be comparably comprehensive about 30 mm chronometers as moonwatch only is for the speedmaster.
Please send me either a PM (private message) or an email directly to: [email protected] to keep this thread slim...
To give you an idea:
I have done research for many years and I was lucky to work closely with the team of the Omega Museum in order to confirm the watches I present.
Writing, photography and layouting took me nearly 4 years.
I have financed the production of the book myself (self-publishing) and I do selling and distribution myself.
Some comments from serious watch collectors about the book:
Mike Nolledo (@MSNWatch on OF) wrote about the book:
Quote: "I have known @mac_omega for 10 years now and I hardly ever say this but he is the foremost authority on 30mm Omegas and I have no doubt that this book is the definitive reference and last word."
Balázs Ferenczi from fratellowatches.com:
"I must say, it is worth every cent. 30 mm Chronometer is a must for every vintage Omega collector’s home library."
Ralf Löhrl, an avid watch collector from Switzerland:
"I have more than 70 watch-books in my library but this book is the best of all."
The price of this heavy book (560 pages, more than 1000 images, about 3,5 kg weight) is € 220 (or equivalent in US$). I know this is not cheap but hey, you can´t even buy a Speedy crown for this amount...
And if the book helps you to avoid a bad buy you will save more than this.
Shipping is from Austria/Europe. Costs depend on destination, to EU countries 15.-€
To other countries: please ask - shipping must be calculated on day by day basis because shipping options can change rapidly due to covid transport restrictions (airport problems due to low number of staff, problems with low number of cargo flights to some countries...).
I always try to offer the cheapest option to help you save on extra costs.
Please contact me through PM (private message) to keep this thread slim.
kind regards
Erich
