It is more normal to introduce yourself on your first post than demand information without so much as a please or thank you, but I'll give you a pass on this occasion.

Firstly it is not an Omega. Chronograph Suisse was a generic catch all brand used by several Swiss assemblers making low cost watches sold mostly to tourists in the 1940s-60s. They aren't junk, but they are pretty much the cheapest chronograph that was ever made. Since it is gold plated and not solid, it is worth maybe $300-450 if running, rather less if not. They vary wildly in value depending on the dial and gold plate condition, yours is OK but not wonderful. When serviced and running well they make more but being a chronograph they are very expensive to service (at least as much again) and since they are all 60+ years old, they all need it sooner rather than later. These had Venus, Valjoux and Landeron movements and there is some variation in value depending on which is fitted. That looks to be a Landeron 51 at first glance so isn't one of the rarer ones.

See the first photo and the Omega symbol, which has been applied by someone with the intention to deceive.

As advised above, that is not an Omega. It's a Chronographe Suisse with an Omega logo attached to it. I've sold a few of these with Landeron 248 and 187, and value really varies based on the dial, case, and movement condition. An example in very good condition with a movement working decently will maybe go $500 or even $600 if you stretch it. Your example has a poor dial, a fake Omega logo, and wear on the gold plating, so that puts it on the lower end of the spectrum: $250-$300 at best.

Ha how did I miss that lol. Humble apologies. I still think fake is a bit strong. Its an original watch which has been badly modified. As noted above, now it is pretending to be something it is not, that lowers rather than raises its value IMO.

I have one of these, I can see a very poor taste project coming on...

A nice Chronograpoh Suisse looks like this and has an 18K case (of low weight, often less than 5g, though). It had cost me 599 €. Movement: Venus 188.

In a condition like this one, they are great value for the money.

It's interesting for me to read people saying that this watch is worth hundreds of dollars. Maybe you are trying to be kind, but who would pay that much?

Given the poor condition of the case, and the dirty dial with added Omega symbol, it's really only useful for parts, and Landeron parts aren't particularly in demand. IMO, you would be lucky to get $100.
