Good afternoon, hope everyone’s doing well.
My friend came with a watch he just bought and asked if he did good, price wise but also originality etc. I am no expert in these models and from what I can see it is all original except for the crown. The lugs are okay, a little soft as with many of the Centenary examples I find on the web. The dial is heavy patinated but I can see it’s attractiveness. He paid 2600€ total. What do you guys think? A okay deal? Unfortunately no movement photo.

I think it is ref. 2500, he says it is 33mm without crown.
Should be more like 35-36mm. If bracelet is solid gold, your friend got a steal.

Patina is a bit too heavy for me. Looks like French hallmarks on caseback. Crown could be a replacement. Would need to see view from side.

Still a very nice watch,

He says both the bracelet and watch are 18k gold. Bracelet doesn’t weigh much I guess but still a lot of gold.
About diameter, he sent me this photo, looks like 33mm but can be the angle of the photo. I can not see any 33mm Centenary with this dial, only the 35mm versions..

Top lugs seems "eaten" by the bracelet ends.... Far from a good example, but if a solid gold bracelet I guess the price is not that bad...

True, that one lug got some wear from bracelet.

bracelet must be worth 1k at least if 18ct gold.
So a good deal I think.
