    Hello Everyone

I am desperately trying to track down an 'Escape Wheel' for an Omega Calibre ( Caliber ! ) 344

I have a superb condition XL 36mm 'bumper' Seamaster 2765 / 2764 that needs this part to bring it back to life.

Does anyone have any suggestions / pointers or......... Does anyone possess one in their 'Magic Cave' of watch parts - For a price...obviously ?

All assistance greatfully accepted & acknowledged !

    Thanks

You need part 1305 and this is fully interchangeable between all the bumper movements. Should not be a problem to source on eBAY. IF you can't find it there I can look in my parts cabinet. Should be in one of the drawers, I just need to figure out which one...:D

You pic makes me think deeper if I should buy less watches and more parts for my current ones. And of course I need to get one of those cabinets.:D

Find a library that is updating its old card system and ask them if you can get the card catalog before the dump it in the garbage. They might even deliver it to your home for a case of beer :)

Ah.....that's why I feel familiar with your cabinet. At first I thought it was a cabinet for pharmacy.

Hello Joe - Thank you very much - I suspected it was a generic part - But I could not track it down anywhere to confirm this

So Omega 1305 fits all Bumpers - thats terrific - You have no idea how much I appreciate the response - it is really very kind of you

By the way - I am a University Lecturer in 'Design & Creativity' - And I think your old cabinet is just fantastic !!! - Wonderful piece of kit

Decide to sell that - you have a Buyer !

If you do have the requisite 1305 part - and have the time / inclination to look for it ? - Great !

If not I will try to track it down in England now - but at least I know what the Hell I am looking for.

    Once again - Thank you

    Best wishes

    Patrick

Just to elaborate a bit, you need part number 330-1305, or in modern Omega part number parlance, a 72203301305....

Swiss part numbers use the same last 4 digits for the same functional part on many different movements, so an escape wheel on an Omega 330 is 1305 as noted here (330 is the base for the 344 and other movements), but 1305 is also the part number for the Cal. 565 escape wheel, in this case 550-1305. The part number for a Cal. 1861 Speedmaster movement is 860-1305. These are all very different wheels though, so you need to use the movement prefix when looking for a specific part.

    Cheers, Al
