Omega Calibre 212 18K Solid Pink Gold Ladies watch from 1954

Hello,

I have this Omega watch from 1954 and I would like to know its value.

The bracelet is 18K Solid Pink Gold with 10 diamands on platinum. The watch is in working condition.

The really unfortunate thing is its worth about its gold weight and that's it unless you can find someone that wants to wear it. Ladies watches like this just aren't popular or collected as women's style has moved on since then so the value of its gold melted down is likely to be about the limit. Those movements are actually used to make cufflinks as a result of this as they don't get used as watches any longer.

Sorry to be the one to have to say that as it looks beautiful, you might want to see if a female family member would like to wear it.

The only other option would be to sell it in a specialist watch auction. I am frequently surprised that women's watches achieve more in this way than they do on the open market.

As @dsio says, it is a fine looking watch and it would be a shame to see it go to the melter.
