Hi
I have been in doubt for a few days. I noticed that the 8800 movement published on the Omega website is slightly different from those that are actually around. If you look at the photo of the site, on the bridge where the serial number is written there is a step . In the movements that I see around instead of the step there is a groove like on the opposite side of the bridge. How is such a difference possible? Seems like earlier versions, pre-2019, had this step. Models since have the groove. It's probable the adjustment was made for symmetry.

I’ve always wondered why that is too. All the recent ones (and mine included) have the symmetrical groove.

Minor issue TBH. The only reason this might create problems is if someone didn’t know, and discredited a watch as a “fake” after looking at outdated official pictures with the step.
