Hello.

I'm looking at buying a vintage omega constellation C case (564 movement) and I'm not particularly sophisticated when it comes to watches and so was wondering if you fantastic people would be able to help identify any issues with the watch (photos attached). It's noted as being in good condition with no issues other than general age based wear and tear. It's selling for AUD $2,000 if that helps as well. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Looks good from a distance, price is higher than averages, you have to take a closer look to verify case lines and make sure dial indices aren't damaged

From this distance you can't even tell whether the crystal is original or not, but I suspect it is because dial visibility is good, best to share the Chrono24 link too

TL;DR: Nothing wrong but photos need to be higher res to actually verify

I don't notice the discolouration, only the crystal ring looked slightly weird to me, usually it's flush to itself, it wasn't set perfectly

Would you happen to know if that's something that is make or break or is easily fixed on my end at a local watch shop?

A new crystal isn’t the end of the world, but at that price I’d want the watch to be perfect, and then some.

Also, stating the obvious here but you’re looking at a watch from the UK and quote the price in AU$. If you’re actually in Australia, shipping plus import duties will make this watch even more expensive than it already is.

Agree for that money you should get a perfect example. They pop up if you wait a bit and keep looking and studying the model…
