They have been recently advertised for $7000 but two recently auctioned for less.
Personally I reckon them around $3000-6000

$3000 dollars is 2175E, if you can show me where they are at that price I'll be buying them all up. Even at double that, 4350E I haven't seen them.

3000 will buy a basket case. They wont be in an auction.

The link I showed does have this. (From memory it didn't sell)

    Estimates CHF 3,000 - 5,000 HKD 25,000 - 41,000 USD 3,200 - 5,400
I believe the market in Bullheads is extremely thin.

All that are offered on ebay are with BIN - never an auction. It is extremely hard to value something with so little actual demand. So while everyone is asking 7000+ there are not many confirmed trades. I do accept that exceptional examples, and the OP's post may refer to one such, may sell for the upper end.

...but I wouldn't like to have to sell a bullhead in a hurry. While many love the look of them, few want them enough to actually buy one at the price levels being asked.

Fair point, but the OP was asking ball park for a near mint example.

I think for a really good example here in Europe, with a service history, you won't get much change out of 5K Euro. 7.5K Euro is way too much. The only people asking that are still clinging onto the belief that the Omegamania prices set new bench marks.

I have also seen one for sale at an Amsterdam dealer for around the 7.5K mark and as far as I'm aware it is still there.

thanks to all for the thread...............I personally do not like the chronograph but here in Dublin, there are few vintage watches for sale of any real interest and it just caught my eye-it really was in great shape but the seller had purchased some ten years ago for a very keen price and seemed in no real hurry to sell..............having the Omega in the shop window will at least attract curiosity.MikeB.

If that's his purpose than it is very cheap advertising cost for store owner. No wonder he is not in rush to sell it by putting high price tag.

Like I've said before, a seller can ask whatever he wants for his item. Doesn't mean anyone will actually pay that price nor anywhere near it. Best line in this thread so far:

I have a bullhead that was worn for 3 or 4 years since 1969, it's been sitting in a box since 1975. The original strap broke and I can't find it So I'm getting ready to order a new one. bad lighting in this picture taken with my IPad, it's in very good shape. It keeps fantastic time but I would still like to have it serviced. The local Omega shop said it would likely have to be sent to Switzerland for service. Does anyone have experience sending a watch that far for service, is it safe. I live in Canada. image.jpg

^ Exactly what Evan said, if you're in Canada with a valuable Omega Chronograph you're in luck as Al Archer is as good as they get for these and he's in Ontario.
