i want to get a genuine Omega nato strap from the boutique.

I just dont know which one would look the best with my Jedi Seamaster.

I never knew omega sold oem nato straps.

 

They started this year, although they always had them for some models.

I think they are way overpriced but leaving that aside the staples to me would be the black and gray, Black and then followed by the black red for sportier models. All of them would look good on that watch I think. Perhaps the black with red edge more than the black red stripes.

If they had a green canvas Nato that would look great on that watch with the lume.

I would absolutely choose the black and grey if buying one. They are very expensive, but I understand the appeal. If only they sold the strap from the Apollo 45 anniversary Speedmaster separately. Then I might be tempted to buy one.

 

I thought they did sell the 45th strap separately. I picked an extra up with my 45. Maybe ask for a replacement part?

 

That's a good idea. I had asked at an AD not too long ago and was told it wasn't available. They were probably just referring to the fact that it wasn't included in the nato line.

 

Looks the same as the other generic nato straps out there. But the omega buckle is a nice touch

 

The quality is way better than 'other genetic NATO straps'.... They are pricey, but you are getting something that it absolutely not available elsewhere ( barring I would say B&S for leather NATOs of similar quality , also not cheap though ). I'm still mulling - doubtless I will pull the trigger eventually given my strap addiction, but I really want a grey/green one like the 50 fathoms Bathyscape color ...

 

I have the BS leathers and love them but for canvas Maria I actually prefer the less expensive ones so I wear them without regard. If my canvas Natos where 180 bucks a piece I think I'm better off just keeping ms destroying a leather or croc strap. Same price

 

I also think had Omega just prices these at 29.99 they would sell out in a day. Still double a normal NATO but you get the brand appeal. I don't think it costs them more than 5 dollars to make.

 

yeah they're expensive but look awesome. I really wish they did have the 45 anniversary one separately. i think i might pick up the grey and black strap soon then! Ill post pictures once I get it.

they also have an all black nato that only comes with the box set for the new Speedmasters with the loupe and a Velcro strap. sucks that I cant get that on its own.

 

yeah I have the speedster Nato. it's very well constructed for sure. Never use it though, always end up using a cheaper one. Same with the NASA velcro

 

There are some high quality generic nato straps out there. I got mine for about $20 it's the thicker nylon Zulu version. Very happy with it.

 

Same as me I have a few NATOS all around the 15 to 20 dollar range, I did find them cheaper but the quality was bad, whilst all the NATOS I found for 15 to 25 are similar in quality.

The Omega Speedmaster one is a thinner and smoother canvas style, there is a quality difference for sure, but it actually doesn't look "better" just different.

 

Anyone know what they cost to buy, I have been trying to find out but have not managed to find the exact cost in the UK. I am thinking about buying the leather brown one.

Finally got it! in Canada it came out to 235 before taxes, I dont know what it will be in the UK.

also replaced the crystal on it as well. For some reason the watch had a crystal without the logo in the middle of it. it looks better now with the new crystal.

 

Probably about 150quid then. Do you think it is worth the money, quality wise or is one paying a lot to have an omega branded one?
