Was in Chicago last week and stopped in at the Omega Boutique in Oak Brook, Illinois. I was shocked to see they are closed.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Corporations like Omega are constantly reevaluating costs of stores vs foot traffic and sales. Check the nearest upscale mall for this store's replacement.

I was going to visit the Omega Boutique in Natick, MA yesterday. When I punched in the destination in Maps, the message "permanently closed" appeared. Didn't seem to be noteworthy to me at that time, but now we have another data point.

There's a thread somewhere here about Omega closing some stores.

Since late last year they have closed several boutiques. Not a good sign IMO...

In Chicagoland they have consolidated to a downtown store. There are AD's still in the burbs.

They're actually opening a very large two floor store here in Brisbane soon (well 2018 as the building is being renovated entirely).
