·So I've just yesterday scored a jumbo steel Cosmic TDMP CK2486 on Ebay for a very good price of €1550. Not perfect at all but with a decent patinated dial it will have some charm on the wrist.
Now the problem is it is missing its original case back...hence the low price. It has a case back, but it's some random steel job from god knows where.
Question: I'm wondering if I send it back to Bienne for a service will they be able to fit a case back for me....does anybody have experience with this kind of missing part matter? I'm wondering what are the chances of success before I initiate going down this path as it could be a mission to disappointmentville and I'd rather avoid the hassle if that is high probability...
Here's the watch, some laser welding wouldn't go amiss either from the looks of the back.
