    Hi guys,

    Recently acquired this beautiful 1950's seamster but it doesn't seem to be running.. :(

    I've posted pictures below of the movement etc, does it simply need a good clean / service?

    And ALSO, is the crown original? Asking because it doesn't have the omega logo.

    Thanks in advance! DSC01265.JPG DSC01269.JPG DSC01274.JPG DSC01275.JPG DSC01276.JPG DSC01277.JPG DSC01278.JPG

    Movement is in VERY bad shape! RUST!!!

    Does crown have an Omega logo on it? If not - not original.

    But that movement! :eek::eek::eek:

    No crown on the movement, and yes the rust is bad isn't it. Really not sure what to do in terms of getting it sorted!

    Yikes! Hopefully a good watchmaker can get things cleaned up pretty well and replace what is beyond hope. Archer has posted before about some pretty heavily rusted movements he has restored, so it is possible. But I am pretty sure the rust needs to be removed before the individual parts can be assessed for replacement needs.

    Replacement parts for that one may be tough to find as a lot of them are discontinued. Difficult to say how much this will cost until it's all taken apart and all the parts are inspected.

    Cheers, Al
