i have my eyes on this omega automatic seamaster de ville, the seller claims its gold plated.
but i am no sure it's gold plated.
the seller does not have pictures of the caseback so i need your expertise.
what makes me think it might not be gold plated is the caseback.
i have not seen a caseback like that being gold plated but i could be wrong.
i can´t see any marks on the lugs (there might be one on the lower left lug) which would indicate 14k solid gold but i have asked the seller for close up pictures.
let me know what you think

thanks in advance.

although not of utmost importance, I believe the crown is a replacement.

also, I have seen plated pieces with backs like this so would have to open up the caseback or look between the lugs

There should be a stamp between the lugs indicating case metal.
Most I've seen are "14K Gold Filled".

Well, buy it as gold plated and if it turns out solid gold..Bingo! 📖

thanks for all the advice, unfortunately i can't see any marks on the new pictures seller has sent me, and i think the price (870 euro) is to much for a gold plated example
