Hi all

It hurts to let this one go but simply too many purchases lately . If you are looking for a great 166.027 and are getting tired of all fake, franken or "original" redialed ones, here is your chance to get a very nice and honest example of this great reference.

The watch is in overall great condition and It works well, although the service history is unknown. Timing it under 24h showed +7 seconds accuracy.

About the watch:

Ref: 166.027 from 1967
Movement: Automatic cal. 565 with quick date set
Movement no 253xxx dating the watch to 1967
Crystal: Original with some light scratches
Case: Stainless steel case with nice crisp edges in very good condition. Looks unpolished to me.

Dial: Black dial in great condition with original tritium markers
Hands: Original hands, slightly lighter tritium
Bezel: Nice original bezel, with slightly faded black color that looks a bit blueish in daylight. A bit more worn out on the top.
Crown: Signed original
Strap: Racing style brown leather strap, new
Function: Keeping great time and winds nicely, Quick date function works perfect

Price : 1800 EUR (1950 EUR). Wire transfer or Paypal (add 4% for Paypal fees). Insured shipping with swedish Postnord within EU included!

Nice! Been keeping an eye out for one of these for some time. 100% sure they’re original hands?

Hi

Thank you, well no need to look further 😁
Yes I'm 100 percent sure that the hands are original to the watch. They have slightly lighter lume as stated in the add 😀. They might have been relumed at some point but could have aged just different as well. Don't know for sure and that's why I just left it's at "slightly different" tritium color.

I'm literally waiting on a '63 Oyster Date I just snagged to come in, or this would be too good to resist. :/

GLWS!

I have no connection with vendor.

I have a 120 from 67. I bought it from a trusted OF member. The hands have the same sort of discrepancy of lume colour as this one, although not quite as marked. Presumably the hands and dial came from different places and different lume paint was used. PM me if you want a photo.

Glad this sold here on OF. Just watched a POS sell on eBay for $1.5k and immediately thought about this one being leagues better for little more.
To the new buyer- you got a good one.

OF is a small marketplace. Sometimes it's better to bring a watch to a bigger audience. This was a good buy. Cheers!

I agree, really strange because there is so many posts and discussions about fake and Franken ones and I thought that price was very fair.
Sometimes I have a feeling that people won't buy because it's to easy, lack of excitement or something 😀. Anyhow, very happy for the buyer and let's keep hunting.
Thanks everyone for the support, appreciate that!
