Omega Aqua Terra White or Silver dial?

I'm selecting between these two Aqua Terras. Bizarrely, the silver dial (220.12.41.21.02), shown first, is more expensive than the white dial (220.10.41.21.02.001).

The silver dial comes with a rubber bracelet while the white dial comes with I think a better, and more expensive to replace metal bracelet. I think I like the silver dial more but it seems like an indulgence to pay another $500 to replace the bracelet. Forum's thoughts?

I'm not sure understand the question? You prefer the silver dial but it comes on rubber while you would like to have it on bracelet so it leads to an extra cost for you?

I would say that an extra $500 to have the watch you like most is worth it, otherwise you will always be looking back contemplating if you've made the right choice. So if it's the silver dial you like most, go for it.

Are you references correct?

I think you're driving at the difference between stainless steel bracelet vs. the grey rubber strap with orange contrast 'stitching'?

The dials look the same to me.
I'm not a bracelet fan but do wear one occasionally so I'd go for the bracket then you can put any strap on it you want.

Hi - Thank you for your thoughts. Yes I like the silver dial better but the rubber strap seems a bit cheap. You are probably right, I should buy the watch I want and maybe add the strap at an extra cost.

What do you wear? Nato or rubber?

Glad I’m not the only one to think this! Maybe I’m white-silver color blind. 😀

Yes exactly.

For references I have:

220.10.41.21.02.001 for the white dial.
220.12.41.21.02.002 for the silver dial.

Okay, this clarifies things a little for me. That database is wrong, because neither of those are silver dials - they are both white dials and the only difference is the strap attached.

In that case, if you want a bracelet (even in the future), the general rule is to buy the bracelet version because the strap/deployant will be cheaper (not by much, but by about $100-300 depending). Now, if you can get the version on the strap at a higher discount than the one on the bracelet (which can often happen if the strap version is not as popular), you can often save money by buying the strap version and getting a bracelet down the road.

I was going to say...

Those are the same watches...

Rule of thumb..
Always by the bracelet and add the rubber later unless you are absolutely positive you will never wear it or sell it at a later date.

Thank you that is very interesting. According to Omega, they are both silver dials!

I may have to stop by my local dealer to see them in person. I'm embarrassed to show my face because I looked at the most recent Bond Seamaster so many times without buying!

Good advice.

I seem to remember to have heard somewhere that in the case of the aqua terra it's better to buy the rubber version and add the bracelet later. This is because you have to buy the metal end links of the rubber strap separately which adds to the cost.

Those are silver dials, at least Omega calls them that. They are the exact same dial.
