Can anyone confirm if the 8900 movement clicks when manually fully wound?
I was told that it takes 66 complete crown turn to fully wind it. I've taken it to almost 90 with no audible click.

    Thanks for any advice!
    Regards.

I hear it on my 8900, 8500, and 9300. Two clicks. Hearing gets worse as you age, and I've asked my parents if they can hear the escapement beating away, and they can't hear it at all when the watch is placed next to their ear. I can hear it while it's on my wrist in a quiet room.

    Thanks for the info.
Eventually made 1 click, then wouldn’t do it again.
Was just curious, don’t want to make it a habit of torturing the watch.

You don't need to worry about torturing your watch. Think about it this way, you can't stop the rotor from spinning under normal use and that will keep trying to wind the barrel even when it's full. Manual winding is not going to harm the watch other then adding an imperceptible amount of wear to maybe the O-ring. If that concerns you then you may as well make the watch a Safe Queen ;).

I hear it on my 8500's, 9300, 8900, but oddly enough not on my 8906 (Deep Black). Can't say it's ever bothered me as I figure about 50 winds from dead usually gives each watch full gas.

I have a couple 9300s. Never noticed it, but then I have horrible hearing.
