I am debating whether to sell my Omega 7912 bracelet and no6 end links and was wondering whether it is worth having the stretch links repaired before hand as it is stretched? I have a 1965 Speedie that the bracelet came on but the links are loose between the lugs, I also have a Seamaster 600 that came on an aftermarket bracelet. I believe that the watches were bought at the same time in the 60's. Would the 7912 and no 6's have been fitted to the Seamaster? as I can find no info on them and there associated bracelets.... Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Sell as is if you do, I'd not bother messing with it, if the new owner wants to have it done he can but most in the market want originality.
Your Speedy is 20 mm between lugs. Your SM600 is 18 mm. The no 6 end pieces are 19 mm, so they are not meant to fit any of your watches. In order to be more precise in which watch your bracelet is best fit to, we need to no the production year of the bracelet. It´s stamped inside the clasp. Production year and quarter.
Unfortunately I can't remove the case back of the Seamaster and know very little about it. I will take to a friend who has a case back opener in the coming days. If it turns out that the bracelet and end pieces are not correct for my watches then I'm left with a mystery as to where it came from.... Missing watch????
Unless your Speedie is a straight lug 105.003. The 7912/6 is correct for it's 19mm lugs. Could be loose from wear over the decades. Post some PICS!!
The correct bracelet setup for your 105.012-65 is a 1506/16. Hard to find but luckily for you there is a current listing on eBay. The bracelet is dated 4th quarter 1966 which is a perfect match for a 105.012-65. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/291715555986Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Won't go cheap but if you sell your 7912/6 you'll have cash in your pocket as well.
Wow, currently on the bay and ending in 10 hours! I remember a discussion with my father in law who had taken the Speedie and bracelet to a watch fair and was told him the head was almost worthless and the bracelet worth £250! The chap offered him cash there and then apparently
"head was almost worthless and the bracelet worth £250! The chap offered him cash there and then apparently" The Speedmaster head is worthless and the bracelet is worth £250? I have been around for quite some time, but have never heard that one.
That's what he was told some years back apparently, he clearly wasn't taken in as I now have the watch etc and thanks to the forum members am aware of their value and history!
