Hi all, my father has given me a 6B/159 . Can someone please tell me what the second line of numbers are? I’m guessing issue number and if so can I find out who received it? Thanks

Hello!

I'm assuming the numbers are something like "12345/42"

the "12345" = the unique individual store code for that watch. The airman would have signed for it and been responsible for returning it!

the "/42" is the year it was issued (so it might be e.g. /43 or whatever)

It can also have an A + number, in which case (I believe) it is engraved with a broad arrow instead of "A.M."

Some Omega 6b/159 were recased by the military after the war and have a number as follows: 123 /56
