Hi, all. Newbie here. I have a vintage Omega ladies' watch that belonged to my mother. It is circa 1970. It has a 650 17 jewel manual wind movement. The movement was replaced by Omega about 15 years ago at a fairly steep price ($500-600, I think). The watch has stopped working again - it appears to wind just fine, but it doesn't run. I have had it to 2 different watch repair places. One tried to fix it, but he said that he couldn't get it to stay running. The other just wanted to send it to Omega for a new movement at a cost of $1000.
So - what do I do? Is there any way to replace the movement for a reasonable price? Why did this break again? It has been well maintained and not abused in any way.
Thanks for any and all help.
