I picked this up through an Ebay auction last week [for what i believe is very close to 18k melt value]. Not much history on the watch. I took it to our local watch guy since it was running pretty fast [an extra 7 seconds fast per minute] and he charged $80 to clean the hairspring which he said was sticking due to lubricant etc. It now runs an extra 5 minutes fast every 3 hours so doing better on that end.

I have read through numerous articles and can not find any references of an Omega case having any sort of hallmarks on the outside. The first photo in this posting is a tiny hallmark of what looks to be a womans head with headband and "G" marking beneath the head. Incredibly small hallmark I have it magnified bigtime. In my research I found that the Swiss hallmark for 18k gold was a ladies head [the head of Helvetia] but i cannot find any references where the outside of an Omega in hallmarked in that way. I could live with an after market case if its solid 18k, but if its not solid then I am still within the window to return the watch. Any insight is appreciated!

Very regular watch and very standard hallmark, almost all solid gold Omega's have similar hallmarks
