Omega 396.1062 watch hands replacement

Hello! As the title states I’ve got a lovely 36mm Seamaster model 396.1062 that needs some love. I was hoping to find out where I could hope to snag some new/refurbished watch hands since there is a lot of corrosion and the lume has long been extinct. Any ideas? I contacted omega and they told me they’d have to do a full refurbish and I couldn’t buy the parts separately.

For replacement hands, ebay tends to be your best option though it may take a while. You could also try and find a certified Omega watchmaker that has an Omega parts account. If Omega still has the hands in stock then someone with a parts account could get them. They'd only be willing to do that if they were also servicing the watch. The other possible option is to find someone who can relume the current hands. There are a lot of threads with recommendations on who people have used in the past.

I have the same watch, with new hands and an original dial. Because of the age differences the lume does not match. I would have them resumed to match the dial, I think that is where I am heading with mine.

Send it to the mother ship. Your watch probably needs servicing anyways.
