All I have at present are the pictures to examine. I believe it is a 37.5L15P movement and possibly cased as a wristwatch. There does not seem to be a case reference number on the case back . Seems like it should if factory cased. Did Omega supply cases only for the trade to convert their pocket watches? Running movement is respectable appearance and is supposed to be running condition. Dial is appears sound but very dirty. ... Anyone have appearance with these or knowledge of similar watches. I did find the Omega 1937/38 aviators in the database and they are assume. to me (and i'm no expert) it looks like a wristwatch movement - the subdial is at 6. usually pocketwatch movements have the sub-dial directly opposite the crown - and they are usually much bigger.
The movement is a cal. 26,5SOB T2 http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&Omega_26_5_2 It is a wristwatch movement. It never was used in a pocketwatch to my knowledge. I own a watch from 1937 with the same dial and movement: It doesn't have a case reference number either. gatorcpa
Hardly a "solve". Too easy. Different case. I have been told that the case reference is 2023. It isn't listed in the OVD. Yours would not be the same. gatorcpa
