From my private collection here is a special Omega Seamaster “bumper” with the sought after chronometer grade “micro regulator” Caliber 352 RG from about 1951.

The watch is in a very nice condition for its age. The watch is however NOT original as it was delivered by Omega. Hence the low price.

The dial has been restored/refinished. The pictures shows the condition which I would describe as well executed. It sits in is a ref 2576-11 case. Originally the movement was cased in a solid gold OT2520 reference case (confirmed by extracts from the Omega archives that will follow the watch). I can only speculate, but guess the case have at some time been melted for gold.
The 2576 case is period correct, and in my opinion is looking very good.

The watch is running well and keeping good time. It was fully serviced last year. The full story is here: http://watchguy.co.uk/service-omega-seamaster-calibre-352-2/

This is a rare chance to own a fine caliber 352RG watch for less than silly money.

The movement itself in this condition may be worth the price I am willing to accept for this little gem.

Case: Great condition, with only very minor marks. It measures 34m in diameter without crown. 18mm lug width.

Caseback: Screw-down type marked ref 2576-11.

Movement: Lovely and fully serviced caliber 352RG. Running spot on. It is still under warranty from its service last year (until March 2014).

Dial: Restored/Repainted dial. Professionally executed and looking like “new”.

Hands: Dauphine style. Good condition.

Crystal: New replacement (unsigned).

Crown: Correct and signed. It is a new replacement crown and is a bit tight to wind. It looks and works perfectly.

Strap: Good condition ostrich leather strap with unsigned stainless steel buckle.

Price: EUR780. + shipment at cost. OBRO

Shipment: The watch and I are located in Norway. I will be helpful to assist in keeping import taxes at reasonable levels. Shipments may also be arranged from within the European Union (will normally be possible about once every 14-days). Only tracked shipments accepted from my side.

I thought this would have been long gone, it is what it is a highly "attractive" piece that will give many years of faithful service and at a price that would keep a Scotsman happy 😀

And I am at least honest about its origins, opposed to a few others out there..

I am interested in several watches in the FS forum, but I got the feeling that I was being a pest when I asked about several that I didn't ultimately purchase. I'd love to buy them all but I am going to have to limit it to one (Maaaaybe two) and I don't feel confident enough to choose. So I'm just lurking and trying to post fewer off-topic inane comments until something demands to be bought. (Hopefully not right after it's sold.)

tl;dr
I'm a wimp

How did The Watch Guy fix the issue with the weight hitting the back of the case?

Christian recently fixed the same issue in one of my watches - he replaced a worn rotor post bush for £28 if i remember correctly.

Hi! Both the oscillating weight bearing and jewel was replaced with new (original) parts which I managed to track down. Cost GBP43 with shipment. Receipts follows.
The thump - thump sound is just brilliant, and no shake and rattle.😉

Yes, I'm well aware of "Restored Dial Syndrome". However if I wasn't in love with my daily SpeedO, I'd be wearing this one with pride ;-)

The price is on level of a overhauled 352RG movement alone.
The dial is at least nicely restored and looks very clean in the flesh.
I hate eBay selling so good offers here are still welcome.

More pics never hurt. Have any wrist shots?
Can take a few. Had some a while ago, but suffered a dead HDD.
Watch out tomorrow on the WRUW thread!
