Hello Everyone,

I have a 342 movement out of a 2576 that I bought disassembled. The part circled is missing on my 342, I just have a hole. It may have had threads at one time. Does anyone know if this is a screw or dowel?

Thank you

Thank you Al,

Do you recall if the plate fastener was threaded into place or was it a press fit? I guess I will need to make something

You will find a screw that fits in there. Threaded or not. The opposite case cut out will accommodate that.

It's a press fit pin. Most watchmakers will either make one or most of the time will take a long thin screw, screw it into the hole and cut to needed length.
