Friends,
New on this forum, but have been collecting for some years, with a focus on chronographs. Just had a terrible experience with a service on a 27CHRO 2451/174 1944, with pulsations scale. Nice original dial, light patina, purchased from US. Had been looking out for a Doctors watch a long time. My watchmaker sent it to Omega Bienne after getting clear written instructions from me to just service the movement and not touch the exterior...but they repainted the dial. Disaster and value gone. The watch is now on sale by the watchmaker. https://www.eaur.se/vintage

Now, coming to my question. Shuck the Oyster has this one for sale: https://www.shucktheoyster.com/portfolio/omega-multiscale-vintage-chronograph-33-3-3/
I have looked at many 33.3 (have one CK987 from 1938). Some of them have or may have repainted dials, sometimes this is stated, sometimes not. Some redials are perhaps 30-40 years old so they too start to look aged. Not easy!
This one looks original to me, and I am seriously considering an investment into a new one with a pulsations scale...
What is your opinion?
