Recently posted for sale - opinions regarding originality? http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?page=1;md=read;id=27679 I've seen these go for tens of thousands of USD - is this one a bargain, then?
I think the watch you are referring to was the very rare one in gold with the thin bezel. This one is is a different watch, more common reference in 18k gold (steel ones actually tend to be worth more in my observation), is in the less attractive snapback rather than screwback case, and has a nice but not perfect dial plus the caseback looks very thin and dinged up. I think this one is priced ok but not a bargain IMO.
From looking at my phone pictures, looks original enough but would want to take a closer look at the movement to make sure the parts are legit - lots of these 33.3 omega movements have parts cannibalized from tissot and lemania chronographs. Ok if the parts are identical but sometimes (esp. the finishing) are not exact replacements.
