An offering from my personal collection is for sale. Stainless Steel, Caliber 321 Seamaster Chronograph Reference 2886 with a wonderful, patinated original radium dial and hands. Produced a year before the original 2915-1 original Speedmaster, this Stainless Steel 321 Seamaster runs well and the Chrono runs and resets properly. Movement number 1514xxxx, 34mm diameter, circa 1956. Recently serviced as well.

This original radium dial is in very nice condition for a 60+ year old watch. Dial features a tachymetre scale and a rare, radial hour subregister. Alpha hands with full lume still attached, stick Chrono and sub hands are believed to be original. The 2886 snap caseback properly indicates "waterproof" on the caseback rim. Certainly not really waterproof anymore btw. The pushers and crown are correct but service replacements. The crystal is NOS Omega and was replaced at service. The stainless steel case does not appear to be overly polished. An aftermarket leather strap rounds out this offering.

Price is $2,900 USD which includes domestic Fedex shipping with parcelpro insurance. Foreign shipping available as well. I am a well known Omega collector (not a dealer) on OmegaForums with many references and am a longtime Ebay member with over 275 positive transactions. Kindly message me with any comments, questions and offers.

Payment via bank wire or PayPal gift. Face to face in New York area is possible. 3 day review period after receipt by buyer. Any returns are at buyer's expense. Returned watch must be in exact same condition and include all papers and boxes. No partial refunds.

Radial Hour Subregister. Rare I believe. Awesome patina. Note: NOS crystal added after these pics.

Didn't someone sell a a serviced movement for more recently?

This must be one of the most accessible cal 321's currently on sale. Serviced too.

Good luck with sale - can't recommend this seller highly enough

Aww man. I'm looking for a silver dial chrono...this is lovely!
Does it wear 34mm or larger?

The watch is really lovely, but please notice that the dial, however quite rare and original to the watch, is not radium. The hands, on the contrary, are.

Thank you for your kind words @watchtinker. While very difficult to photograph, the dial, in fact, has tiny radium lume dots in the triangular portion of the "coffin" markers. Most of these lume dots are still intack.

Wears larger IMHO. Diameter is 34mm without the crown and pushers.

I see your point. This is a radium dial from the same period with visible radium dots which have also, as it is often the case, stained the silver paint.

    Radium dial.jpg

However, I have also encountered rare dials, as I supposed was the yours, which did not present applied lume dots. Did you manage somehow to activate the lume in the dark?
Naturally, the discussion is purely academic and does not detract from the immaculate conditions of the watch for sale.
I strongly believe that these watches do not receive the attention they would deserve.

Facinating and tremendous value compared to the Speedie version - I love these watches. Can you explain something to a novice...why are the 3, 6 and 9 minute markers on the subdial longer? Is this a special version? I have never seen that before.

Those marks were used to time pay phone calls way back when; the charges would go up after 3, 6, and 9 minutes of being on the phone. They're pretty commonly seen on chronographs from this era (30's - 50's).

Edit: Hate to hijack your sales thread btw @gemini4! It's a beauty, GLWS.
