    Been looking for a large sub dial 30T2 for a while and just picked up this beauty, Ref. 2271-5, that needs a little help. The dial is perfect and does not appear to be a re-dial. Not sure if the movement, 10427714, is original to the dial. I've never seen one with "chronometer" under the Omega. Might someone have another gun metal blued hand to go with the one on the watch? Also need the sub dial hand. Thanks for any info or help

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that is a an obvious redial and not a chronometer movement.
    If you are able to return it, do it!

    I do not believe that dial is appropriate for that movement. The Omega Vintage site cites 260 or 265 for movements, and neither of those are chronometers. They also don't have a picture, alas. I'm on the fence whether that is a refinish; if it is, it's a very good one, but the way OMEGA is rendered makes me wonder.

    In addition to the above, the dial has a modern font that is not correct for the era of the reference.

    I kindly beg to disagree. Wrong fonts, wrong logo, subdial not centered. The redialer was a quite creative person...

    Subdial looks centered to me.. but the OMEGA is definitely wrong, not enough space between that and the Omega symbol. But compared to some horrendous refinish jobs we've seen, it sucks less.

    We must not be looking at the same sub-dial. Anyway, there is no question about the dial.

    I looked at it again and I do see a slight offset on an axis approximately 8 to 1. But yeah, not original.

    Axis 8 to 1, what? ::confused2::

    Just look at the sizes of the borders on top and bottom. Huge difference.

    I zoomed it up and now I see it.

    Guess I'm not too observant today, eh?
