The devil is in the detail. While there are a number of pointers that the experienced MIL watch collector will spot, there is one glaring alarm bell. For members interested in WWWs with less than 200 posts ONLY! Please PM me with your "discovery". (Experts can PM me if they wish).
I'd say the case has been glass blasted to give that matte finish. I think the case may be original. Anyway, just to round this off, why would a WWW Omega have a USA import stamp (OXG) on the movement? I'm not familiar with these but some of the experts here will be able to shed more light on this particular example. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OMEGA-M...rentrq:7975ca9a16c0ad31c35bf50cffdc6c89|iid:1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network So it's now open to anybody who wishes to comment!
The case is destroyed and of no interest for a collector or a person who want's a genuine one. The "OXG" or not it doesn't matter in his case.
I am afraid that this watch is a recent build up. On the dial the A from omegA is pointed and should be flat on top I also gess that the 7 should not be correct The sub second should be stepped ( difficult to see on the photo ) The difference between the 2 numbers on the case back is not correct. The serial number is a bit early And the case is blasted but does not look so incorrect. Steph
