I recently saw this Omega 2975 with a clean Cal 500 for sale and decided to take a gamble and purchase it for parts. Although it looks a little rough and dirty, when I got it the movement kicked right up and was running at around 60 s/d. It seems like it only needs a crystal and set of hands, so I'm opting to save this one.
I was able to find a set of hands, but I am a little unsure how to best move forward regarding sourcing a crystal. Is anybody aware of an Omega crystal reference guide that lists the proper OEM crystal for each model? I assume crystals for this model come with a retainer or tension ring, so would a generic crystal not work in this case?
Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thank you!
