Hi guys,

I just purchased a really beautiful 2914-1 Railmaster with the hands and dial untouched; the case possibly unpolished. The only problem is the crystal is cracked and I'd like to find a NOS one. Can anyone help point me in the right direction or at least let me know the reference number of the original crystal? Thanks in advance for everyone's help here.

Starts at zero, right?
ref 2914 is the first generation with cal 284 and 285, radium dial
second generation is ref 135 004 with cal. 286 and tritium dial

Ah, thought we were referring to the -1. Never mind. 😀

While the 1957 Railmaster reference 2914-1 may be the first Railmaster issued for general sale, is not the first Railmaster.
The first Railmaster was a limited edition reference 2777-2 sold only in Canada in late1955. Some may refer, even myself at times, to the 2777-2 as a “prototype”. It is worth noting that Omega, in extracts, does not.

irregardless, the 1955 Railmaster 2777-2 is the first.
