In no way am I an authority on vintage Railmasters, but this is not the quality of inscription I expected to see on a military issued Railmaster https://www.ebay.ca/itm/172266554126Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network . Royal Navy Dremel. Can be fixed btw since the back of a 2914-1 has no Seamonster. That came later with the 2914-3 and 4.
If you'd like a more pristine example, this Railmaster 2914-4 is available, in Japan, for the low low price of $23,000
Appreciate the education as always Gemini, however I will have to hold off this 2914-4 as I just acquired a 145.012. And $23k USD translates into a out $30k CDN! Which is just not in my wheelhouse
The RM that the OP is referencing is on both eBay and Chrono24. It's missing the "spring ring" (not sure of it it's proper name), and also, there's something else fishy going on because the rehaut looks too narrow... http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-RAILM...554126?hash=item281be3030e:g:XMwAAOSwepJXa~wCPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network There shouldn't be a black space between the base of the arrows and the edge of the dial...
Just happens to be one mag cover spring ring (aftermarket) left. Without this the mag cover will rattle. https://www.ebay.com/itm/191885618857Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
And what about the rehaut issue?....is it an incorrect retaining ring like was mentioned in another thread? https://omegaforums.net/threads/railmaster-what-do-you-think.41696/page-3#post-494594
