Hello, I found this Omega sell by a profesionnal, he got it from a particular in his physical gallery, the patina looks perfectly clean to me, the crown looks correct, it's gold plated, cal 505, it is from 1956 from the serie number, he ask 2400 dollars for it, do you think it's a fair deal ? May be hight range price ?

Uncommon reference and nice dial, but the case looks a little worn/polished in the bezel. A fairer price would probably be mid-upper $1k range.

Yes i am agree, the case looks not so sharp. And the glass a little worn. For 1500 1900 price the decision would be more easier.
Very few 505 caliber in 2887 model.

I would try to get the price down with the goal of buying it. The bezel wear here is average in condition. The rest of it aside from the replaced crown is above average. Uncommon reference with the less commonly seen dial style.

I put down the price to 2200 dollars, still high but i will go for it

The crown is 100 % sure replaced ? There isnt variety of model with clover crown ?
