Omega 2846 Hobnail Hands Question

Hello everyone, I just snatched this 2846 on the bay. I have some questions regarding the watch hands and need help from the experts. You help will be appreciated!

The crown is incorrect, no need to discuss. The hands are relumed, mentioned by the seller.
I just want to check if the hour and minute hands are original to the watch, because they look so long, but I can see the patina on the hands is very similar to the patina on the indexes.
Secondly, is the second hand original to the watch? I suppose the second hand should have a sharp head, but this one's head is very dull.
Thank you for your help!

My biggest concern would be that 2846s aren’t known to exist with hobnail dials - those were only produced on bumper movements, as far as we know. I doubt this dial actually belongs in this case / on the cal 500/501 it’ll likely have.

Thank you for the info. It indeed has a 501 movement. Are the dials on bumper movement and 501 movement interchangeable?

No.

No.
Then can I say a picture of the back of the dial will solve the myth? See if the dial is modified to fit the 501 movement.

In addition to the above, the dial has been cleaned, and the hands are not the correct length for the dial (should end at the tick marks). A serious franken watch.

I'll take the bet. Anyway I can still use it as a parts watch. The price is $825 including shipping.

The dial looks original to me, even though it’s not in good shape. As @seekingseaquest said, cleaned and all the lume was removed in the process.
I‘m not sure how well you’ll be able to use the parts - the valuable thing is (was?) the dial and that will likely have been altered significantly to fit the cal 501. Best case scenario someone professional put on new dial feet; worst case scenario (which might be likely given the quality of the hands, lume used etc) it was glued on.
Fingers crossed for you, keep us posted.

My friend persuade me to save the hassle, let me try to cancel the order. If it does not work out, I will put the watch FS here

Shouldn’t these questions have been asked before you bought it?

Can you return it?
Submitted an order cancellation request as the watch has yet to be dispatched.

I’m very fortunate to have a black hobnail with my collection. The only problem is that you’ll never be able to capture its beautiful in a photo. You just have to wear it on your wrist and see it on a sunny day. There is nothing like it.
