Tell me which one did you prefer the mint example or the spotted example I think they are both beautiful but love the patina on the spotted dial

I have had around 6 of these in the past, I am a dealer mainly interested in Omega watches but I’m a pretty rubbish dealer as I like to hold onto things a bit too long so end up with low funds 😁
I like patina that is natural from age and not water damage or just damage in general like scratches by clumsy watch makers.
The 53s are one of my many favourites, they are the blueprint for the later 2914 Railmaster.
If you like the 53 look out for the 2777-2 with the swan neck regulator, now that is a rare beast!
Thanks, Michael

Was it ever established, how many movements with the swan neck regulator were actually , cased in Watches , sold by the Factory ? Bill unearthed these and researched them with Biel. I have not seen more than 12 early Rail- masters sold to Canada ... Any new research ? Kind regards. Achim

I have no idea Achim, all I know is that I am always looking for one to pop up, which one will sometime, somewhere. Just hope I’m in the right place at the right time 👍

Like this Radium one with an EoA , residing Down Under ?
Great piece, so this is the earliest form of railmaster with swan neck regulator ?
I have seen one on here among a group of thin arrows might be yours too, I’d love to know more
